STAAR Testing

What is the STAAR Test?

The STAAR test stands for the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness. It is a series of standardized tests used in Texas public primary and secondary schools to assess students' academic achievements and readiness for the next grade level. The STAAR test is administered annually to students in grades 3-12.

Elementary Level (Grades 3-5):

  • Reading
  • Mathematics
  • Writing (Grade 4 only)
  • Science (Grade 5 only)
  • Social Studies (Grade 5 only)
